I know I can put HTML there to be displayed if Flash doesn't exist but I don't want to load the HTML if it's not need (case when Flash is installed) so I thought the best way is to redirect to an HTML page if flash doesn't exist.
You won't be able to do this in Flex, since your application won't get loaded if the user doesn't have the correct Flash player version. So your best bet is to modify the index.template.html file. You haven't specified what version of Flex you're using, the template file might be different between versions 4 and 3.
I have the Flash code below and I call script to change the Flash src so a different flash is shown. The problem is in Firefox this works and in IE I get an error stating "moviesrc2" is null or not an object. This works fine in FF. Any ideas?

I thought I had a solution and tested EXEOutput for php software compiler that allows you to run php as an executable in its own internal browser. All my tests prior to the EOL message had worked. Hello Stephen, I am having a real problem finding and then installing a copy of flash. I set this up and go to (URL REMOVED) to test and it fails. I tray to install an older version of flash and get an error that install failed. I try to delete the registry entry that keeps past versions of flash from installing and even under administrator it will not allow me to delete it. It seems they are closing these as fast as I find and try them. If you can help it would sure be appreciated.
So it seems if Chrome got updated to v88 then Flash was removed. Uninstalling & installing a lower version, does not re-install Flash. This is why I do not get the pop-up, because flash does not actually exist on my system.
I see that version and I have been trying to remove/downgrade it using chrome 86. But I cannot figure out how, i think the issue is the latest version of flash just has a hardcoded killswitch coded inside it.
That is correct, Flash does have a killswitch inside of it, however if the enterprise configuration exceptions are properly configured inside of the mms.cfg file, it overrides the killswitch and allows the flash applet to run.
I got this working, but its not worth the effort. I pulled a only windows 7 without SP 1 32bit off a laptop from 2013. dded the disk over, chrome is a snake, its autoupdate is nearly impossible to disable, and the flash version itself also has an auto-update, a bigger snake.
Then. install firefox 47. Install flash 22. unplug the eth. Edit mms.cfg to turn of autoupdate for flash NPAPI. Disable firefox autoupdate and rename the update folder similar to the chrome trick, otherwise it might update itself on the first run. Plug the eth cable back in, all snake updates should be disabled.
Uninstalled chrome 88 version and installed 84.0.4147. 135 (Official Build) 64 bit. Updated the mms.cfg, disabled the gupdate and gupdatem services to not get auto-update.Its shows Adobe flash player is out of date either update plugin or Run this time. If i click Run this time, it shows big Flash symbol.

Linux (Ubuntu + Chrome), I have tried a lot of different steps but none of them worked, as it seems that even if you install any flash plugins or extensions Chrome keeps trying to install and use the latest version of the plugin, which eventually blocks it to be used.

The standalone flashplayer takes no arguments other than a .swf file when you launch it from the command line. I need the player to go full screen, no window borders and such. This can be accomplished by hitting ctrl+f once the program has started. I want to do this programmatically as I need it to launch into full screen without any human interaction.
You can use a dedicated application which sends the keystroke to the window manager, which should then pass it to flash, if the window starts as being the active window on the screen. This is quite error prone, though, due to delays between starting flash and when the window will show up.
Another option is a Window manager, which is able to remember your settings and automatically apply them. Fluxbos for example provides this feature. You could set fluxbox to make the Window decor-less and stretch it over the whole screen, if flashplayer supports being resized. This is also not-so-nice, as it would probably affect all the flashplayer windows you open ever.
I've actually done this a long time ago, but it wasn't petty. What we did is use the Sawfish window manager and wrote a hook to recognize the flashplayer window, then strip all the decorations and snap it full screen.
I've done this using openbox using a similar mechanism to the one that bmdhacks mentions. The thing that I did note from this was that the standalone flash player performed considerably worse fullscreen than the same player in a maximised undecorated window. (that, annoyingly is not properly fullscreen because of the menubar). I was wondering about running it with a custom gtk theme to make the menu invisible. That's just a performance issue though. If fullscreen currently works ok, then it's unneccisarily complicated. I was running on an OLPC XO, performance is more of an issue there.
Ultimately I had the luxury of making the flash that was running so I could simply place code into the flash itself. By a similar token, Since you can embed flash within flash, it should be possible to make a little stub swf that goes fullscreen automatically and contains the target sfw.
Any particular reason they went this path? It seems backwards, especially with the flash requirement. That is a no-no in our environment. The performance is also quite poor compared to the client as far as responsiveness to clicks.
What is going on??? I've used flash to stream the news channels on a particular site, for years, on my old iMac, and Macbook Pro, now I have a brand new iMac, and Firefox won't run it, doesn't even give me the option to use it, and the feature in preferences that allows me to list exceptions to not playing video or audio shows no way to ADD a site, making it completely useless!
